I had a great time staying at Ottoman Hotel Imperial, mainly because of its prime location right next to major attractions like Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. However, I was disappointed by my room's size and cleanliness—definitely not what I expected from a four-star place. The breakfast was decent, but some staff weren't very helpful. Overall, I’d rate it a solid 6 for the location but had issues that made my stay less than stellar.
Rooms
5.0
I was placed in a tiny underground room that didn’t feel clean, with broken furniture and damage on the floor. The bathroom had mold, which was kind of shocking.
Service
6.0
The staff seemed friendly enough, but the language barrier made communication tough. Some were helpful, while others just weren't as responsive when I needed assistance.
Location
10.0
You can't beat the location! It’s just a short walk to the most famous sites like Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque, plus there’s easy access to tram stations.
Dining
7.0
The breakfast had a good variety, including Turkish dishes which I enjoyed. However, I was disappointed when I learned bottled water wasn’t complimentary.
Facilities
5.0
Unfortunately, the hotel felt quite dated and not up to the standards I expected for a four-star hotel. Wi-Fi was hit or miss as well.

I truly appreciated the hotel's prime location, just a short walk from major attractions like the Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque. However, my arrival was marred by a mix-up with my room and an unexpected charge for Turkish tea. While the rooms were charming, they could use some updates, and I encountered some cleanliness issues in the bathroom area.
Rooms
6.0
The room I was initially given was not what I had booked, and it took some questioning to get the correct accommodation. Despite this, the room I eventually received was nicely decorated but showed signs of age and wear. The bathroom had some cleanliness concerns, which detracted from my overall comfort.
Service
6.0
The staff seemed friendly, but I encountered issues with billing that left a sour taste. Although they were helpful in resolving my room mix-up, my experience with the tea charge didn't align with the warm hospitality I had expected based on my previous visits.
Location
8.0
The location was fantastic, making it easy for me to explore Sultanahmet and visit landmarks like the Hagia Sophia and Basilica Cistern. The area felt relatively calm, which was a nice escape from the bustling streets just minutes away.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast was enjoyable with a good selection; however, I felt it could have offered a bit more variety. Sometimes, it was disappointing to face unexpected charges for items I had previously enjoyed without extra fees.
Facilities
6.0
Facilities were basic, and while I didn't utilize room service or other amenities much, I found the hotel needed some modern updates. The historical charm was evident, but I wished for more contemporary conveniences.

Overall, it was a great base for exploring Istanbul, but there are areas for improvement.

My stay at the Ottoman Hotel Imperial was defined by its unbeatable location, just steps from the Hagia Sophia and other historic landmarks. Although the breakfast could use more variety, and noisy street-facing rooms were an issue, I found the service warm and welcoming. The blend of Ottoman culture and modern amenities made for a nice experience overall.
Rooms
7.0
I stayed in a standard room which was clean, but a bit small for a longer stay. My room faced the busy street, which meant some nighttime interruptions from tram noise. Rooms on the quieter side are preferable.
Service

Breakfast was included, but options were limited and repetitive during my stay, which was a bit disappointing. While it was decent, I expected a bit more variety given the hotel's charm.
Facilities

The hotel had a unique charm with its traditionally furnished decor. However, the lack of an elevator made getting to the higher floors with luggage a bit of a hassle.
